The Institute has been a member of
"VISION - 2020" India with our full support to the Government of India
project. 'Right to Sight' Programme.
One of the few truly Super Speciality advanced eye hospital in India.
10 consultants, who are trained in various subspecialties in
ophthalmology.
Most of our surgeons are trained and worked in reputed universities and
hospitals.
Community ophthalmology service in the form of free cataract surgical
camps, have been a part the hospital's moral obligation to the society.
So far more then 175 free Eye camps have been conducted and more than
1,50,000 free cataract surgeries have been carried out, over the last 38
years.
Rural Eye Care Network proposes to offer complete eye care and imparting
its awareness to the rural population of India and aims at total
eradication of blindness in the shortest possible time using appropriate
technologies.
School Sight Programme a unique programme jointly organized by Dr.
M.M.Joshi and DDPI under SSA programme. Dr. M.M.Joshi has venture to
give as high as 50% concession for checkup providing spectacle and
operations if needed.
This is most useful programme hailed as one of the best programme for
school children all over India. So far 800 Teachers have been trained,
1417 children have been checked, 250 spectacles have been provided and
49 operation are conducted in just 3 months period. We estimate at least
25,000 children will benefit in next one year. |
